Roadies Finale Spoilt By "LUCK"

Though at that point of time the "Luck Factor" was confined to the selection procedure in the PI's/G.D's. I was a strong supporter of the fact that Since roadies is well known for it twists and the creators of the show Virtually Hold everything in their hand. As the show has No Rules, No Fixed plans of action and No Repeated Strategies. They always take someone by surprise. This time around, The Luck factor has overplayed. It has boiled down the competition to the battle of sexes. Mr Raghu where are you ?

I was expecting Raghu to eliminate the weak ones with His veto, since in the PI with Kiri he had mentioned "If you do not perform i will throw you out". Looks like Poulami is the exception. I mean even if she wins the show, what for .? Just Luck i suppose. Not a task performed, not an Immunity [Maybe sometimes]. What for is she in the show? Playing the underdog and reaching the top 3? The questions keep rising.

The take on palak - having known what a politician she is, i seriously think that Roadies needs a revival with ways to handle Politics. Keep it to the minimum if not Eliminate it. call it luck or Natasha's stupidity, she is not deserving for that spot. The show does not demand people who are desperate to be a roadie, then why keep a person who is desperate to win .?

The luck factor, too many twists have reduced the charm of the finale as there were much more deserving contestants in the 20.

Episode 13 - 5 April Story Summary

Just like the last episode, today’s episode also left us shocked. Palak wanted all three girls to be the final 3 Roadies. Nauman knew if he wouldn’t win immunity today, he would have to leave the show.

The Roadies received a scroll with a message that if they reach their money task destination within 8 hours, they will get some ‘nice’ surprise. They did reach within 8 hours and the ‘nice surprise’ was that the Roadies’ account was credited by Rs 2,40,000 before even them having performed the money task. Now came the real surprise. Their task was to save the total money they have earned so far by playing Ice Hockey. The Ice Hockey professional was to go for the penalty shots and the Roadies were to save the goals. Each goal scored would make them lose Rs 20,000 and each Roadie was to face 3 penalty shots. Paulomi and Natasha both managed to save 1 goals each while Palak saved 2 goals and Nauman saved all 3. The total amount in the Roadies account worked out to Rs 3,62,000 after the task.

Then came the immunity task. The Roadies were to collect the Roadies flags from the field while three cowboys were to chase them and catch them with a lasso. The Roadie who collects the most flags wins the immunity. In case of two Roadies having collected the same number of flags, the immunity will be won by the Roadie who collected them in lesser time. Nauman went first and collected 7 flags. Palak and Paulomi both collected 5 flags each. Natasha was faster compared to Nauman but she got caught just few seconds before she reached the 7th flag. Nauman wins immunity.

During the vote-out, Nauman and Paulomi voted against Palak while Palak and Natasha voted against Paulomi. There is a tie and to break the tie, Rannvijay brings in some professional card shuffler, Marcus. They kept three cards with name of all three non-immune Roadies on them. Marcus was to shuffle the card and each Roadie was to pick one card after the shuffling. The vote will go against the name written in the card picked by the Roadie. Paulomi picked the card in which her own name was written. Palak picked the card in which Natasha’s name was written. Natasha picked the card in which Palak’s name was written. Now, it was all upto Nauman’s pick that will decide the fate of these 3 Roadies in the game. Nauman picked the card and Natasha’s name was written on it.

Today’s episode left me shocked, just like the last episode. Another deserving Roadie, Natasha, had to leave. She played a really good game throughout but today it seems she didn’t think properly. Luck has favoured Palak so much till now in the game and that’s the reason why she is still there. It took me a while to digest the fact that Paulomi has made it to top 3 while people like Sufi and Natasha are already out. All in all, “expect the unexpected” part is coming true every week and it was another great episode today.

Natasha Voted Out...Luck By Chance

Episode 13 5th April 2009, Natasha Sinha voted out by a card shuffler.

This is the second time luck has saved Palak. Even though it was a tie situation, still Natasha had to pay for it. I must say it's Luck By Chance for Palak only.

Raghu : Everything Is Part Of A Plan

Sufi's vote out was a shocker ! No one saw it coming, not even the roadies. Palak had been unanimously voted out. But after a twist, she not only got to decide who went out.

My mother called me up as soon as the episode was over and gave me quite an earful about how she was disgusted by the show and by me, for letting the most "undeserving" roadie stay and making the most "deserving" roadie leave ! I wanted to tell you guys, that this might just be a part of the plan and may lead up to a mind-blowing finale, but I didn't.


I don't think I can be blamed for what happened. The roadies brought this upon themselves. The envelope that was sent to their room was a test to see it they could contain their couriosity. The envelope carried an ominous warning: "OPEN AT YOUR OWN RISK". They should have let it be. But instead, they all decided to open it and face the risk. Ironically, it was Sufi's idea and Palak opposed it ! When the envelope was opened, it clearly warned them that there would be a twist at the vote out. They did not heed the warning, and went about the vote out as they would have ordinarily. Had they not gone out of their way to invoke the risk by opening the envelope in spite of being warned not to, there would have been no such twist at vote out and Palak would have left.

The journey is drawing to an end. In this Sunday's episode, the final 3 roadies will emerge. Palak wants all 3 to be girls, and will be seen plotting against Nauman, who himself wants Palak out at any cost. He's still hurting by the way she survived the previous vote out and his friend Sufi left instead.

This episode also has the last money task of the season, where Rannvijay give the roadies Rs 2,40,000 for just showing up for the task ! But then, they have to take on professional ice hockey strikers to keep the money,

The immunity task will have the roadies feeling like calves, running helter skelter while cowboys and rodeo champs hunt them down with lassos on horseback. And get ready for yet another killer twist in the vote out ! As the journey draws to an end, you can bet the game will get almost unbearably intense !

MTV Roadies 6.0 Episode 13 Synopsis

This episode decides the fate of the 3 Roadies who get the opportunity to move on to Sydney, the final destination in Australia. The Roadies also discover that they will be performing their last Money task to add more money to their account and stake a claim at the 10 Lac winning prize. The opportunity comes in the form of an ICE HOCKEY task. However the challenge of learning to balance on roller blades turns into, a comedy of errors as they end up on the ice floor more that on it. The immunity task is literally a race for survival as they try and dodge the grip of a lasso thrown at them by professional cowboys. The Biggest Twist happens at the Vote Out for the unsuspecting Roadies, with the entry of a surprise visitor in Pink, who is card juggler.
