Everyone’s been talking about how Suraj aka Nagesh, the “fake” contestant, managed to fool Raghu, Rajiv and Rannvijay with his sad story and got selected as a Roadie! Everyone is quick to blame the judges for believing him and keeping him in Roadies even after the truth was revealed!

It is you guys, our fans, who have made Roadies the most wanted show to be on! Tens of thousands of young people come from towns and cities all over India and are ready to do ANYTHING to be on Roadies! So did Suraj. And he DID become a Roadie!

So that we can present a fair picture of this entire Ram Kahani, we got an expert to analyse the situation. Dr Anjali Chhabria is a famous Mumbai-based psychologist. We showed her the audition video of Suraj aka Nagesh and asked her if she could believe him or not!
Read on to get her opinion about fake Suraj and see if she believed his story!
1) CAN THE EXPERT PSYCHOLOGIST TELL THAT SURAJ IS LYING?
Suraj has put up a fantastic performance. It would not be easy for the judges to spot that he was lying as they were all taken by his emotions / drama of his life.
Looking at it from a psychological perspective now that we know the truth it seems that while he makes attempts to make his story believable there is confabulation (to make up false stories that one believes to be facts) seen in some of the factual information that he has presented.
Also the emotions he expresses are not always matching the emotions of the story presented by him. However his good eye contact and his voice modulation with conviction, makes the story more believable. It is evident that he has learnt that drama sells on television and has made full use of it.
2) WHAT IS THE EXTENT TO WHICH YOUNGSTERS CAN GO TO BE ON A SHOW LIKE ROADIES?
Every youngster in India today wants to be a ‘crorepati’ that is rich and famous soon and television provides a medium for the same.
There are those who struggle and there are those who fool their way to the top. A lot of youngsters may think that he is ‘smart’ and that he could get away by lying his way in front of such a smart panel and hence want to copy his ways.
It’s a learning experiencing. A lot of people would be shocked by it rather than finding a short cut to success. In the audition, one would probably look up to him as person of substance but after seeing the reality one would lose respect for a person like him who uses a sensitive story to be selected rather than his own strengths as an individual.
3) SHOULD THE JUDGES BE BLAMED FOR BELIEVING HIM AND KEEPING HIM ON THE SHOW?
At end of it all, the judges are also human and as tough as they portray themselves to be, they were touched by his story. Everyone can make a mistake.
One must remember not to be suspicious towards the all other contestants.

i think by having elements like nagesh "roadies"has lost its credibility to some extent .people already had doubts about its so called reality tag.this inclusion of nagesh only reinforces the belief that this show is only for fake elements and not for the general public.common man in particular a legitimate candidate can no longer hope for fair judgement from its expert panel becouse their selection process is baised nd predetermined. though humans r prone to errors but his continueandce as a candidate is doubtful. these reality shows have just been reduced to ............

ReplyDeletewell a lot of criticism has been against nagesh...but he is smart...impress d panel nd get through d auditions..dats d format...dis shows dat if he can fool d showmakers den he is a player...every1 noes dat it is very tough to face raghu rajiv nd ranvijay as dey dun get impressed so easily...but nagesh made dem thnk his way...dey wanted somethng different...so nagesh thought dat if i cnt be different at least i cn portray to be 1... hes got d brains...he is a roadie

ReplyDeleterodies koi Mother Teressa ki Ashrm nehi hain k you hv to say truth blah blah..... it is the survival of the fittest..and he succeed by making other fool ... except ashu, we really cant remember other winner of rodies....bani,ranvijay all are not rodies winner bt they different personality it may be negetive.....rodies may winning is not every thing...woh raghu,rajiv ko sabakh sikhane ke liea aya tha and he did it...he has achived his goal and if he wanted he could take ZMR bt he gave it to rodies(woh kagaj main likh sakta tha-----agar tamanna mujhe vote degi to main Bike dunga ---he didn't said all these shit)..... real winner... great job boss!!
ReplyDeleteIf the show is rigged, den we shld applaud to the three R's effort for creating such an intense drama out of suraj( and then critizing him in "ROADIES GRAVEYARD" after he is out of the show)...but if it is a so called "reality show"..den suraj is a true genius fooling RRR and infact getting a chance to go to Brazil...lekin roadies 9.0 mein ek problem jo contestants will face is that not a single RRR would believe dere story(even if it is like tat of suraj)...

Well.. Talking about Suraj Even I saw his audition and role in the show.. I used to support him.. But after knowing his reality...I hate him as hell.. I wont even pee on him...
